Course features:

Provide diverse research for students to fully unleash their potential abilities, with a particular focus on the development of the field of wood engineering;

To cultivate students' advanced knowledge, strengthen their research abilities and career development needs through research methods and successful application skills;

Encourage students to be exposed to advanced research in civil engineering and related fields.

Research field:

Construction project

structural engineering 

Water Resources Engineering

Soil technology engineering

Expressway and pavement engineering

Learning/Research Methods:

The research topic will be guided and supervised by a designated supervisor;

Graduate students are required to attend seminars in their research field;

Graduate students are required to submit a research proposal and conduct a defense after completing one fourth of the courses;

Graduate students are required to submit monthly progress reports to their supervisors. The mentor will conduct regular consultations and discussions;

Graduate students must publish at least one article in an international journal or speak at an important conference on their research field;

The Student Academic Affairs Committee reviews the performance of graduate students on a quarterly basis;

After completing the research topic, graduate students are required to submit their thesis and conduct a defense.

Admission Qualifications:

Master's degree from a Malaysian government accredited institution in civil engineering or related fields;

Or equivalent qualifications certified by the Kuala Lumpur Construction University Committee.

International students are required to achieve an IELTS score of 5.0, TOEFL score of 500, or Cambridge Linguaskill score of 154.

Duration: 3-6 years
